Based on the bestselling A06 Freedom Chair, this heavy-duty model has been designed to be able to accommodate people of up to 25 stones/160kgs. The powerchair has twin 300 watt motors which can push you forward at speeds of up to 4mph and have a an endurance of 9 miles on a single battery (a second battery is also available).
When not in use it is lightweight and compact. It is easy to move and store. It's ideal for people who travel by car, cruise ship or plane with their chair as it easily fits into the cabin. It also comes with airline-approved lithium-ion battery and adaptor for off-board charge.
The user controls the powerchair with an electronic joystick that can be attached to either armrest, and is able to be used by either left-handed or right-handed users. The foot plate can be raised to allow for easy user transfers, and the tyres are 12" all-terrain PU, so it can tackle more challenging terrain.
There's plenty of room for personal items to be stored in the handy under-seat pouch and the zippered pockets that are fixed on the seatback. There are adjustable lap belts and electromagnetic brakes that increase the user's safety.
The Freedom A06L is a smaller and more maneuverable than a mobility chair and can be pushed into tight spaces such as elevators or shopping centers. It can be able to climb up to 8%. A kerb climber option is available, allowing you to drive up an incline or ramp without requiring assistance.
